Our History

Twenty years of Irvin PR and our mission of amplifying the good - and the fun - in our community is hard to boil down into a quick timeline. But we've done our best to get there:

2004


Nov. 17th: Irvin PR launches with five clients - Columbus Marathon, Red, White & BOOM!;, Cleveland Marathon, Komen Columbus, and Feld Entertainment.

2005


COSI and Franklin Park Conservatory come on board as clients. 

2007


Irvin PR moves out of Sarah's house to offices in the Short North.

2009


Sarah joins the board of Katzinger's Delicatessen, a nationally known restaurant in the German Village area of Columbus.


Feld Entertainment expands markets with Irvin PR to cover Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Youngstown, and Toledo.

2010


Babs “the Black Lab” joins Irvin PR.

2011


Michele Mooney joins Irvin PR as Vice President.

Irvin PR adds ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, Ohio Historical Society (now Ohio History Connection), and Schmidt's Sausage Haus. Irvin PR creates its first-ever Oktoberfest Celebrity Stuff The Puff competition for charity.

2012


Irvin PR coordinates our epic “Elephant Batting Practice” with the Cincinnati Reds and elephants of Ringling Bros.

Irvin PR moves from its Short North office to the Jefferson Center, a leading hub or arts, non-profits, and innovation.

Sarah joins board of Canine Companions for Independence.

Audrey Adair joins Irvin PR as Account Coordinator.

2020


Irvin PR helps to manage the media for the first-ever event in the United States to be impacted by COVID - The Arnold. 


Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s Office asks Irvin PR to create a social media campaign to help keep spirits up during the early part of the pandemic.


Irvin PR adds the Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI) to its client list.


Good news - Irvin PR weathers the first wave of the pandemic!

2021

Audrey joins board of Girls On The Run.
